Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) targeting the ground breaking development of transportation Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and the monorail on January 2013."Aspects of legal completion and decisions of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs is out. Jokowi said, before being implemented groundbreaking it will do with the Jakarta public hearing considering the construction of two modes trnsportasi sparked opposition among the public.

As is known, there are two consortia are planning to run the project, namely PT Jakarta Monorail which is a private investor and PT Adhi Karya which is a consortium of state-owned enterprises.
PT Jakarta Monorail Monorail project has a route concept Green Line and the Blue Line. Then, a consortium of Adhi Karya is a consortium of PT Adhi Karya, PT Telkom, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, PT Jasa Marga, PT INKA, PT State Electronics Institute (LEN).
